SIGNALS was proud to host its fifteenth annual banquet on January 27th, 2017. The Banquet took place at Novotel this year, in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Gracious sponsors, including The Chemical Industry Association of Canada, Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company and consulting firm Stratos, continue to enable us to host this banquet every year.
The night was full of great food, drinks and lively conversation. Speaker Julie Gelfand, Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development, partook in an engaging discussion with Professor Glen Toner on the continual need for independent review of government’s management of environmental and sustainable development issues. Her role within the Office of the Auditor General of Canada enables her to conduct such reviews independently and make recommendations.
The night ended with the presentations of annual scholarships courtesy of Delphi Group and Resources for the Future, to outstanding students in the sustainable energy fields.
